During a funeral wake, the area where the casket is placed is typically well-lighted.Incandescent bulbs and fluorescent tubes are used for lighting application. In the evening when many visitors come, the area is very attractive. The flowers are well illuminated which sets the right atmosphere for sorrow and grief. Even in the morning, the funeral lights are on because the light symbolizes eternal life. The light will accompany the dead as he joins his creator.
