WHY GIRLS OUGHT TO HAVE DORA BEACH TOWELS?
We have come to a point wherein there are very few heroes in our lives. The heroes are no longer the ones who are fighting the bad guys or saving the good guys from the good. Instead of reading books about how a peasant girl escaped her communal bondage and how she made use of her skills to get rich in the city, we read stories of a hopelessly romantic girl whom the author presumes to be born a loser until she was helped by a donor’s organization. We are seeing the losers portrayed as heroes and the winner-heroes are slowly being wiped out from literature. Luckily, there are plenty of brilliant cartoonists and modern story writers for animation companies, and these people are bringing back the hero-stories of the ideal woman or man. One of the perfect examples is Dora, the explorer. She is a simple person who loves adventures and who loves problem solving or who is more than willing to break from common societal norms to achieve her goal (to solve the problem). If you have a daughter or a niece, a dora beach towel is the perfect example. It will remind her that she is great and that she is a portrayal of the modern-day cartoon hero.
We somewhat lived in a twisted world where the hero is portrayed as a villain and the villain is portrayed as the hero. However, we still find hope with the brilliance of some great individuals who are more than willing to break from tradition. They are the makers of modern cartoon characters embodying the ideal man – examples are Dora (the Explorer), Batman (the anti-crime figure), Cat Woman (another anti-crime figure), and Superman. Our role definitely is to make sure that our kids get the message – follow the heroes and dump the villains. Giving our precious girl a dora beach towel can surely convey the message
